What information do we collect?

Our website collects non-personal information from all our users through cookies and website analytics software (Google Analytics). We collect information from users who sign up to host Parent Info on their website. (See below information on ‘cookies’ and Google Analytics).


Reasons for collecting personal data

Any information and personal data we collect is for the purposes of informing you about information hosted on Parent Info and relevant services from Parent Zone and CEOP.

When you sign up on the Parent Info website you are informed that you will receive a regular newsletter (usually around every 2 weeks in term time only) updating you on the latest Parent Info articles, our research and our events. The newsletters are part of the free service you have opted in to.

What personal data do we store?

You have the right to contact us to request access to the personal data we have stored. We may hold some, or all, of the data below on you:

  • information you may have entered in a research survey e.g. the number of children you have


How do we use your personal information?

Your personal information is used to send you the Parent Info newsletters, these are included as part of the free service when you signed up to Parent Info. This data is not shared outside Parent Zone and CEOP. You can opt out of these communications if you wish by following the unsubscribe link in the newsletters or contacting Personal information is not shared with third parties. It is only accessed by Parent Zone and CEOP. Where information may need to be shared with a third party, for example for an event you are attending, we secure an NDA to make sure the data is not shared with any third parties. If you sign up for Parent Info your details will be used to allow you to host the newsfeed on your own website.


The use of ‘cookies’

A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your computer to help the website analyse how you use the site.

This site uses cookies to measure the traffic on our site. Cookies contain information that can later be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you.

Webpage Privacy Statement
